I was letting the fuel run out of a Honda BF115A with Programmed Fuel Injection and realized that it's not like my older carburated Honda model BF90. I shut the engine off as it was beginning to sputter. Can running out the fuel in these PFI models cause any issues?

It should not be an issue
I have a Yamaha and the VST (vapor separator tank ) has a drain to remove gas for long term storage.
After storage, when the key is turned on, power is applied to 2 fuel pumps; the low and high pressure and within a few seconds the VST tank will be filled with gas and fuel pressure to the injectors will be pressurized. You might have to crank it a couple of times to get it running _________________ Brent Barrett |
