I also need to find or make a radar arch for my 22 angler. It needs to be high enough to get my dingy underneath it.
If you have any good leads let me know. I live just across the border from Blaine in White Rock BC

Or low enough to put your dinghy on top. There is always roof mounting.
The XHD version adds this:
xHD performance in a dome
High resolution (1440 display spokes vs. 720 on HD domes, draws detail down to ¼ of a degree vs. ½) to provide improved target separation and finer shoreline detail. 8-bit true color helps differentiate large targets from small ones and aids target separation.
Dual Range Operation
Simultaneously view both short and long ranges. You can keep a close eye on your immediate surroundings while also knowing what’s happening farther out. It’s like having 2 radars for the price of one.
Dynamic Auto Gain and Sea Filter
Automatically adjusts to your surroundings for optimal performance in all conditions. Dynamic Auto Gain maximizes your ability to see distant targets while limiting excess clutter on the screen. Dynamic Sea Filter reduces the returns caused by nearby waves in heavy seas. You can choose from multiple levels of aggressiveness or use manual gain adjustment.
There is an ethernet type connection and separate power connection on the Garmin unit. They both have twist on gasketed couplers to seal them better so that is the wiring you would have to deal with. If you could leave them connected but fold the unit and mount out of the way it would be better than manipulating the connections each use. Are you trying to save height for storage or travel? Take a look at the 5th page of this guide to see where the connections come in.

Terry, check out Atlantic Towers: http://www.atlantictowers.com/
On my previous SeaRay, I tried a couple of different things, none of which worked, and finally went with them. They made a nice solid Aluminum unit that could fold down by pulling a pin on each side. Could probably expand that to release and remove the entire arch. They have a lot of different styles and I found the folks there (at least several years ago) very helpful! Colby |

You could also order an arch from the factory via a C-Dory dealer. Might cost more but it's minimal hassle and the fit should be perfect. I recently did this through Sportcraft Marina here in Portland. |

I think those C-Dory arches are made around Bellingham. Call the factory, ask where they get them from and give the welder a call. I would think they'd be glad to sell you one.
And if you bring the boat down and mount it, they'll never know it's new and there'll be no customs duty.
And who knows, it might be made in Canada.

Tanner Mfg in Bellingham makes the arches for C-dory. I had mine custom made. They do good work.

I have all Furuno on my boat-- it is about 13 years old and getting a little slow on the start for GPS. Today at the Northwest Sportsman Show in Portland I stopped at the Garmin booth- ok-- I may have to consider changing out my electronics. I was impressed with what Garmin had to offer for radar, GPS and sonar. _________________ Roger
