Just for fun, I found a new "C Dory" for Sea Wolf if he is interested!
Quite the upgrade!

HI!
Thanks, but I already have a 265 Sea Ray Sedan Bridge very similar to that boat!
It's named "Swan Song", which is where I am in the stages of my life, and will be going up on the For Sale block very soon this summer!
Besides the C-Dory and the Sea Ray, we also have a 24-ft. a pontoon boat, a square ended gas & electric powered canoe, and two kayaks.
Along with a motorhome and a BMW Roadster, and two scooters, I can't even find time to keep all the batteries charged, let alone keep them clean!

I don't need another boat, but a Jump Start/Battery Rejuvenator for my own energy level would be welcome!
If this is also your sittuation, you may be interested in the "Is It Time?" thread!

That is well said and a funny reflection for all of us.
It seems by the time we get all our toys we don't have the same energy level
we once had to use them! My adult son on the other hand seems to have no shortage of energy to "borrow" dad's C Dory for the weekend!
He is out there right now catching cod while I'm sitting at home rebuilding my energy from my last trip! |

OK young fella, I can help you with that. First, only one of everything. I know it's tough, but you can do it. It's the macro clean out, and, although it doesn't seem like it, the easiest. It's like giving up meat, you will salivate at a hamburger commercial but you'll feel much better when you look in the mirror or step on the scale. But I digress. Then the tough one, the micro. The bad news is this could take several years. The good news is, of course, this could take several years. Here you will use the two pronged "rust micrometer". That is, if you feel too "rusty" to use the item on the one hand, or if you notice the toy is rusting away in the back of the garage on the other, out it goes. Good luck Joe, I gotta go sweep my empty garage. _________________ MartyP

Marty-
Thanks for the advice!
I've been coming to those conclusions for the past several years.
I just need to get up the determination to dump the excess!
Sometimes it's hard to decide which ones to let go…..
I used to think I needed them all to be happy……ha!
Now it seems I'd be happier without most of them!
Who turned the world upside down on me?
That's not fair!
They've got 'ya coming and going!
First needing what you don't have, then having what you don't need!
Again, life is just a bunch of choices………

Marty, You are a real inspiration. That is some really good advice, and good direction setting.

Well said Joe. Somebody up there has some sense of humor. Anyway, as my favorite philosopher Yogi Berra says, "If your gonna make it in this

Harvey- You do realize of course that none of this applies to twin outboards....Come visit Harvey, we'll go for a ride on Lake Washington in the 16 footer. |

Thanks, Marty, I need to take you up on that. I will probably come over on SleepyC though, since I could do that and not have to drive in Seattle (yikes, I'm allergic
Suppose we can find some place for a good root beer float.
