Hi folks,
As I somewhat expected, the first person to see Da Nag wanted her. A tentative deal has been struck - deposit in hand, subject to sea trial and survey this coming weekend.
I'll update this thread and close it once funds and boat have been transferred. Until then, if anyone else is interested - feel free to PM me with your contact details, and I'll advise if things don't work out.
And, while a little late...here are the interior pics.

My bright Fire Engine Red C-Dory and DaNag's were "stable mates" at the same time at EQ Marine when they were both being outfitted. Both of them were built at the old, old, old factory before the production line process at the next in line factory. Whoever succeeds in purchasing DaNag is one very fortunate individual! _________________ Dave S.

Pat, that espresso maker is standard on any Ranger Tug!
As is the hot tub and the wine cooler!

No Ranger for us...hate to disappoint my good buddy Jeff and my C-Brat pals who have gone that route, but the Ranger equivalent to what we're eyeballing is simply well beyond our budget.
But yes - the barista will be in attendance once more at future C-Brat gatherings. And, let's just clear this up right now...anyone who gives me crap about not being in a C-Dory will get Folgers instant. Made with bilge water.
I'll still make a legitimate appearance on occasion, though. Any gatherings requiring towing will have me delivered via the mighty Taco. Just gotta get Brock to school me on how to live/cruise in a closet. |

Congrats on what appears to be a quick sale!

She's RED.
Seriously though, based on the ads - those both look like nice boats at decent prices. If the hours, condition and options are acceptable to you and you have some way of trusting/verifying such things from afar - by all means, enjoy the drive! |
HAHA it is actually the red I am having to come to grips with. I have never been into red boats. I own a Red Harley however. It does come down to additions and care. I am sure there is not much difference in a 04 hull verses an 08 hull if the 04 has been looked after. So an older boat for the same price comes down to equipment. I will study your inventory more thoroughly. |
FYI,
I had to cross state lines (inland) to find a boat in my price range as they all the puget sound-ish ones would sell in a heartbeat out here, at any price. the c-dorys in this area are well known and respected and kind of a have a "minimum" price that they never seem to EVER drop below. I still have the original 1988 receipt for mine, its funny to think how many multiples of that original price i paid.
I wasn't into red either at first. in fact, it was probably the one color I didn't like. but now I actually kinda love it. Its a little more unique!!
Good luck in your hunt. you'll love your c-dory when you do find one. _________________ Dustin |
