Great site -- thanks for sharing. Heading to the local spot now that the site gave us for high-speed connection. _________________ El and Bill (former live-aboards)

There was an article in this month's Washington State Bar Journal (not available at your local newsstand, unfortunately!) about conducting your law practice from your boat, with a laptop and Wi-Fi. Says the commercial service is available at 70 locations between Gig Harbor and Desolation Sound, and the extended range antennas make it work up to half a mile out from the marina with the access point...Oh yeah, JUST what I want to be doing when I'm out on Daydream! NOT!!!! _________________

Pat-
There are several attorneys who conduct their law practice and live aboard large yacht sized boats in the San Francisco Bay Area. Perhaps not all types of law practices are capable of being operated in this way, but if one could sell the house, eliminate the fixed office rent, and set it all up on board a boat with enough space to have the office and meet clients in a suitable proper manner on board, ..............??? Joe. _________________ Sea Wolf, C-Brat #31

What I do (city attorney) is not exactly conducive to that! Plus, when I am on the boat, what I want to do is put that stuff as far out of my mind as possible and recharge my batteries. Also not likely the mayor and council would agree to move the council meetings to Pirate's Cove for my convenience!
