This is a video of my going from Mirror Harbor to White Sulfur Hot Springs & back in the Mokai. Both of these places are located in the very remote Gulf of Alaska side of Chichagof Island, Southeast Alaska in the Yacobi-Chichagof Wilderness. Bertha Bay where the hot springs are located is to fowl to access by cruising boats, so only is normally visited by people in sea kayaks or by trail on foot from Mirror Harbor. The old building over the one hot spring was condemned & a bid put out by the Forest Service to replace it & redo the walking trail to Mirror Harbor. The small construction crew who were busy working when I arrived specializes in wilderness construction. They were living in the small forest service cabin & would be there the rest of the season.
We are looking forward to returning in the future & see how the work turned out.
