|
|
Folks,
Looking hard at buying a Tom Cat. My question is (and I'm sure the answer holds true for about any CD), since they use balsa in the construction do CD's get heavy and water-logged over the years?
Thanks,

The short answer is -----NO.
C-Dorys have been built with end grain balsa since the mid 1980's and no major 'waterlogged hull' problems have been reported. Some boats have had limited rot around loose or poorly sealed screw holes in the cockpit floor. These have been repaired with epoxy, many by the owners. _________________ Larry H
