Just got my Boat back today with my new Yamaha 75. Is the Yamaha multi function tach supposed to have a backlight so you can see it in the dark? Mine doesn't seem to light up. Just wondering if I have it hooked up wrong. Is there a way to turn it off and on? |

catdogcat-
Have you tried seeing if the unit's lighting will activate when you turn on the navigation lights?
My new Yamaha 90 is lighted whenever the key is turned on, and was wired by the installation mechanic who also had to remove several older independent gauges that were incorporated within the new integrated unit.
Unfortunately, the boat is at the marina, so I can't immediately go out and see exactly how it's hooked up, but will do so the next time I'm at the lake, probably sometime over the weekend. Joe. _________________ Sea Wolf, C-Brat #31
