I am planning a trip to northern Vancouver Island in 2012. Been looking hard at both places. Gonna fish and cruise for two weeks. Any suggestions or comments appreciated.

Alert Bay seems to have more people fishing, couple years ago in Telegraph Bay there didn't seem to be that much action. Either is close to the fishing. Telegraph Bay was pretty quiet the last time I was there. And the facilities are more modern. |

Mike, I think the ramp at Telegraph Cove is better, plus you can overnight (double check) there. When we launched at Alder Bay, you could not. Good parking at either place. Most of the group that we went with in 2006 or 7 launched at Port McNeil. _________________ "And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. Thanks cooper for the update. We have since made reservations at Alder bay Resort. I will look into the tour you suggested.
