...can be found HERE. Many of these will already be familiar to you.

I don't think I really want to know the total cost of ownership of my boat, though. Do you? Laughing

Yes, Navionics's Marine&Lakes is my favorite iPhone navigation software

My other favorites for my iPhone are:
1) gtgBoating
2) NOAA Radio
3) Knot Guide
4) Ship Finder (AIS app)
5) iNavX ($49) but great with free NOAA charts
6) BoatUS (sends Lat & Log & calls BoatUS tow boat)
7) Surf Watch
Cool Aye Tides
9) Wind Vane
10) Cruisers
11) BoatTrader

Any I missed?

Ron

I've got a Droid X on Verizon rather than Sprint but you can get nearly all the same apps as the Iphone. There should be some sort of an icon on there that let you find apps, I've only paid for one, the Navionics East charts, all the rest I have were free.

Let's see.

Tide Chart Free

Weather Bug Elite (it has good radar presentations on it)

Google Sky Map (great at night for identifying stars and planets)

Mapnav Compass

Marine Traffic (Shows AIS information)

NutiCharts Lite (NOAA charts)

Radar Now

I don't think any of these cost anything.

You might look into using your phone as a mobile hotspot if it has that capability. Gives you internet on a wireless laptop (or you can tether it with a cord) as long as you have a 3G signal. Mine costs $20/month but it gives me the internet capability while away from wifi.

Have fun

Charlie

Charlie thanks I'll be looking up those apps .Sprint charges $30 /mo for tethering so far I haven't needed it . Most of our boating is only a few days and almost always marina stay overs .(wi-fi, showers , elec , security) with our boat club Jim
