My son just called me about the subject problem.
The motor runs fine as does the other one but one flashed the code.."error in programmable fuel system".
Can one continue to run the engine. He is 20 miles out and needs to recover his shrimp pots. _________________ On the HIGH TIDE-II, wife Carolyn and I.....Another summer fishing on the HIGH TIDE II in the Cook Inlet at Cape Ninilchik, Alaska.

I'd run it, if it will continue to run. Most of these codes will either warn you to fix something, or shut you down to some degree forcing the fix. It may be a fuel problem or a sensor problem (oxygen sensor). If moisture is the culprit, it may dry itself out...if the injectors are problem, then an cleaning them or replacement might be required. My 2 cents. Ron |
