I just had to share this story about the GA shrimpers and a new gig for them. Check out this link. Interesting. But, for me....I will wait on the shrimp!!!

Mmmmm mmmmm - may I have another helping of jellyfish, please?
Good that someone found a market for them. |

They tried that in this area too . Just like the shrimp, the cheap imports made it unfeasible . They were harvesting Cannonball Jellyfish here as well .
It whats for dinner !

Hummmm, Jelly. I like mine in grape or cherry...never thought much about fish flavored. Besides, some of those little devils can bite back big time. (Think box jellies -- Australia)
I'm with Jim and Pat, passing on them for now .... and then too.

Years ago, when we raced sailboats in Tomales Bay (about 30 miles north of San Francisco and formed by the San Andreas Fault), there were so many jelly fish in the water that the boat's tiller bumped along in cadence like a big twin motorcycle!
They multiplied in the warm shallow water of the bay, Ditto for sharks! We even had a whale join in the racing fleet once! Always a great party afterward at the Inverness Yacht Club!
