Confused How hard is it to wire the stereo power into the main switch panel?

Lawrence,
It was easy on my 2004 CD. I just ran power from an unused switch to the overhead shelf. I connected these to a multi terminal screw block (probably not the correct name). This allows me to connect a few things on the shelf and controlled by one switch. I connected both my VHF and stereo to it.
Hope this helps,
Steve

If you're going to have a switch control the stereo, then it's a good idea to run an extra conductor to the stereo that is hot all the time. That way the memory for the time and the radio stations will not be lost each time. I learned this the hard way, and had to re-do it. My other mistake was to by a unit from a catalog, and did not realize that the fluorescent display was made to be viewed from a downward angle. It is bearly visible when installed on the overhead shelf. For speakers, I used an Infinity component system, with the 6 1/2" woofers mounted facing forward behind the pilot and co-pilots knees, and the dome tweeters mounted high on either side of the windshields. This one I got right, they really sound great.
