I got an email from our good friends Tracy and Larry and they asked me to share it here in hopes that someone will be able to keep the North Carolina tradition going.

So we won't be hosting the gathering because we will be busy waiting for our Grandbaby ! I was hoping someone else might be able to do the Gathering OR you all are already having the NC Loop so that could be the Gathering for NC this year. We will miss seeing all our friends this year, but SOooo excited about a Grandbaby ! LOL Take care all have a great trip on the loop ! Tracy & Larry |

We're soon to be new C-Dory owners in NC. We're in SE NC (Southport) and heard from our Marina that a group of C-Dory owners have stopped here in the past. Is that still going on? The Loop is just too far for us to travel (no trailer). _________________ Jack & Julie Canny |

We will be at the N.C. CBGT. We bought a good map book and a new gps. We are planning to stay at the same hotel in Orental N.C.. My wife and I enjoyed it . We are looking forward to the CBGT. We bought our 22 cruiser from Mobil East . Neal _________________ Neal Mitchell |

Hello Jack & Julie,
Larry and I do go to South Port a good bit. So they might have been talking about us but we just have the one boat.. lol . We won't be hosting the Gathering this year at Oriental which is where we usually do have our C-Brats Gathering. We were hoping someone else would be interested in taking over. We have our First Grandchild due in Sept. close to the same time we have the Gathering. Do let us know when you get your boat. We could come down for a weekend and go boating together. Take care all, Tracy _________________ "Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were.

Well, we're just waiting for Gene to finish up the rigging and bottom painting so it will be soon. We've been in dry storage with the current boat, but the new boat "C's Slapshot" will be at a slip at the Southport Marina. We look forward to meeting more of the C-Brat group. As soon as it's here, we'll let you know. |

Slapshot and Walkerbay: Read the first post. There will NOT be a gathering this year unless someone else steps up and runs it. Larry and Tracy will be busy expanding their family with a new grandbaby!
Congratulations!
Hope someone else steps up and carries on this tradition, we won't make it this year. Last year exhausted me in pulling my TC that far! Too far on the water unfortunately!

Yikes. I did read the post, my note was about meeting other C-Dory owners, even if there isn't a gathering. Not living anywhere near Oriental and having no idea exactly what a gathering entails, I'm afraid we can't step up. In the meantime, if anyone visits the Southport area, just let us know.
It most certainly is exciting news about a new grandchild, and we completely understand. |

Well if any of you were on the fence about the Carolina Loop trip coming up in a couple of weeks, I hope you reconsider and join us. A little longer than a normal gathering, but I think it is going to be an absolute blast. _________________ Tivo Romero, CWO2, USCG (Ret)
