|

I have read various topics and there recommendations for tandem trailers for newer 22 foot C-Dorys but i do not see any specificate E-Z Loader models mentioned for a 1985 22 foot C-Dory Angler Classic. I think there are some differences between the two boat models when it comes to trailer selection.
My present trailer is a 1987, E-Z Loader # 3100 single axile model. Although it appears to be in good condition, ( some visible rust ) it is around 25 years old. I do have concerns that the trailer is on the light side and fear that if one of the cross beans were to break the damage it would cause the underside of my boat.
Does anyone else have a 1985 22ft Classic Angler similar to mine with a E-Z Loader tandem trailer or have any recommendations on the model to select.
I mentioned E-Z Loader trailer because that is the only trailer model that i can buy in my area. Thanks Tug |

Tug, I have a 87 22 and last year I bought a new King trailer, model KBT4000B2VR. The trailer is adjustable. I'm sure it could be adjusted to fit a classic. It was suppose to come setup for a C-Dory 22, but it didn't fit very well and I thought the boat sat too high. It wasn't hard to adjust.
How are the speakers working? _________________ Ron & Rose

Ron...i have not tried the speakers yet, still too much snow and the weather is too cold to install them. Hopefully soon though, will be sure to let you know.
I would love to get a King or Pacfic trailer but the E-Z Loader is all the is available here. Thanks Tug |

By my experience, the EZ Loader trailer is a very dependable trailer, with a minimum of issues. Also, the parts department answers the phone, though sometimes it takes a couple of calls. Certainly not perfect, but a good trailer. And I've had a couple.
Tug, enjoy what you've got.

Just like to upgrade my trailer before it falls apart, just not sure what e-z loader model is right for a 1985 22 C-Dory Angler. Tug |

Take a look at http://www.c-brats.com/modules.php?set_albumName=C-R-DORY&id=Dory_10_18_2&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_photo.php
This a our restored 1983, 22' C-Dory Classic on a 2009 E-Z Loader, aluminum I-Beam construction tandem trailer, assembled in Elkhart, Indiana from old specs, per special order for us (I became a dealer for one trailer), could not be happier with look, quality, ease of loading/unloading etc. etc., pulls very E-Z too.

Hello Tug,
If you have further interest in the E-Z Trailer we have, contact Rene Boyer, e-mail: rboyer@ezloader.com.
We really like this trailer, can't say enough about the quality, service and price.
Let me know if I can help you in any way with the details.
Regards,

I was lucky enough to find this EZ Loader aluminum trailer used for $1,400 a few weeks ago for my 1981 Angler. Seems like a perfect fit - GVWR of about 5000#. I unbolted the drop x-members last weekend and replaced them with straight tube for the flat bottom. Planning to mount the bunks today and hopefully get the boat moved over to the new trailer. My 1985 EZ Loader has had it; the bottom of the rail tubes has rusted all the way through on both sides and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the last 1/2 mile trip to the boat ramp.
