Hey all, I plan on installing windscreen wipers on my 93 22 Cruiser (the manual ones are cute..but aren't going to cut it!).
I know the AFI brand is popular, any suggestions from someone who has "been there, done that"??
Thanks

I have the AFi STD Wiper Kit, windshield frame mount .12 volt Standard Wiper Motor, 80 degree Sweep.11 inch Blade,6 3/4 to 10 1/2 inch Adjustable Arm but i have yet to install it .
Defenders sells the ONGARO Wiper Kit...Item # 302147 which has self parking left or right, a stronger motor and from what i have read is a better all around kit. Tug |

I have no idea what mine are specifically (whatever the factory installed in 2008) but they are made by AFI. They work fine. If you are installing a new set add a switch for the passenger seat and a momentary switch for the driver. I don't know if there is a way to get a setup with different speeds like on a car, but I think it would be useful as I rarely leave mine on since it's overkill, but an intermittent setting would be nice. |

Great suggestions. Is there a factory rep or dealer who is member of the C-Brats who I could ask what the OEM install is on a new boat??
Thanks

Username is sjboysen. He's at the mfr now. Bear in mind that whatever they put on boats now is not likely to fit in the holes that you have on a 93. _________________ CHARLIE and PENNY CBRAT #100

The wiper location is different on the new boats versus the mid 90's.
The 1996 we just sold had the wipers mounted at the bottom of the window, and the new models have it at the top. You may have issues with motor size if there is interference from the dash shelf. _________________ Matt Gurnsey
