All,

Now that I have a TomCat, I'm interested in looking at all the modifications that have been done by others for potential ideas on what to do to mine. What I have found is that information of modifications is posted in a variety of different threads and photo albums. So while there are a lot of great ideas amongst our members, it can be hard to find them all and to rapidly look through them. Hence, I'm starting a few threads in the hopes of gathering them all in a few more centralized locations. This thread is intended as a place to post modifications made to the interior of a TC255 - e.g. storage systems, electronics cabinets, curtains etc. I'll start another one related to exterior modifications - that will include systems and fishing gear installed in the cockpit and on the other surfaces (e.g. additional cleats, line and fender holders etc). It might be nice to start similar threads for the other models of boats also. I plan to do some digging around in the photo albums and previous threads and re-post work done by others but it would be great of others also posted their work here.

Overhead shelf electronics console

Interior snap-in curtains (more images in Roger's album)

3/4" spacer to raise cushion back off seat

Hyper-Vent installed under bunk to prevent condensation. Available at Fisheries Supply. Note mattress and Hyper-Vent has been split apart 22" at center seam to ease opening of hatches.

Shower Curtain..Factory fix for the leaky warped shower door.

Another item from Janet's Dreamer Canvas Shop. Handy little pockets for those things usually lost in a drawer.

New cover for electrical connections behind the helm. Note the pockets sewn in to hold small items.

Split hatch with spring struts under table

Drawer added under helm seat, teak handles added to drawers and cabinets.

Hangers on teak added in head - similar to what Bob. Also a solar power vent to right of light. Keeps head smelling better.

Shelf added above hanging locker. Storage underneath, toaster oven and coffee pot above.

Shelf below helm seat. 10" tall storage for shoes or whatever. Makes a comfortable footrest.

Catch all for behind stovetop. Made from a Poly cutting board.

Split hatch covers for access to sponsor storage areas

Hatch covers to forward compartments, drilled for ventilation.

Slide out shelves in hanging locker.

Cutting board shelf for over stove in galley

Moen mixer faucet and storage in galley area (looks like a different shelf over the stove).

We haven't modified ours much. We added a brass clock

and a placard for our safety equipment.
