Jeff Beer is putting in a new door on our 22' Cruiser. We want to put in a window that will slide open. Any suggestions? Where do we find one... Of course I have spent hours on the web wandering around. Thought it best to get some input from the true professionals in the group Very Happy

This started with the install of the Wallas... Has grown into a new counter top, laminate, and who knows what else will evolve with this little project Exclamation

Thanks... Love Diane

i have no ideas but i have seen sliding doors on seasports and other boats. you may want to call them and see who their supplier is.

Diane, you better get this settled quickly, while Jeff is still ambitious enough for it! The outfit that supplies the windows for C-Dory (and I believe they always have) is www.diamondseaglaze.com/. They have several standard styles, and are probably willing to make custom windows. Getting it from them will give you the best chance of it being similar to the other windows in ImmacuNada.

I think your idea of an opening window on the door is excellent. Probably work best to be a vertical slider like in a house screen door.

Have fun!

Thank You for your replies. Have spent wasted time on the web. I can find Vertical slider windows for an RV (Door Included!). This gives me some direction. Will make sure I keep notes Razz Your picture is exactly what I am trying to find, Tyboo. I will share this info with Jeff Beer while he still has a few brain cells operating. He is sniffin' glue right now.

Thanks Love Diane

Still going to see you at Cathlamet in a few weeks?

Mike is right about Diamond SeaGlaze. I spoke with them last fall about just such a window for the door on the Lynn Marie and they said they could make a slider and that it would be the top half that dropped down. Never did ask about the price or move ahead with the project so I can't help more than knowing they can produce such an animal.

While on doors and windows... has anyone attempted to R&R the fixed center window or a TomCat with the companies "newer designed" center opening window?? The guy at the window factory indicated that some item was differant, (notes at work..?) but to be sure to contact the gentleman at the C-Dory factory (name ??? no clue) who installs the windows.. I think I will just call Buck and pose the question to him. I really would like to have that new window for the southern climate..

I just checked with Diamond SeaGlaze re. having a custom slider window with screen made for the MOOSE. They can do it, no problemo, but the cost would be $401.35!!! I neglected to ask if that was in Canadian or US funds, but whichever, I think we've decided to stick with the unobstructed beauty of the original.
