I have added several of the outboard bracket type of one side swim steps and ladders. You can get them from one to 3 steps. I do OK with a single step, and a good hand grip high up on the transom. West Marine is a source; as is the internet. _________________ Bob Austin

hello tracy and larry,
i checked out your album looking for pictures of the 16', didn't see it so, take some pictures and show us what you're working on. always fun watching improvements and alterations. i did notice the picture of the mg on the pontoon boat, very interesting, including the lamp post.
thanks
pat
ps: looks like your boating takes you to many places. congrats on that! |

Hi,
Take a look at the ladder I put on Pocket Yacht. It extends well below the water for easy access, yet folds and stows out of the way. I especially chose it because of the high hand holds. So many ladders have nothing to hold onto when you exit the water.

Ok so here are some photos with the boat as is from Charlie. I cleaned her up a bit just vacuuming and wiping her down. Larry has been working away on the outside cleaning the bottom . He's been power washing and using some hull cleaner on it. I will take more photos of what he has done already. Can't hardly wait to see her all clean as new again ! I will keep ya posted. |

I sometimes wish I had a swim ladder, not for swimming but rather for a place to stand and put on the muffs when moored in salt water for a week or longer. Also good for changing a prop in an emergency, I guess. But I'd probably just use the kicker if I bent or lost the prop. For getting in the boat after swimming I step on the Permatrim. (Make sure the engine is off!) _________________ MartyP
