We had a great week in North Carolina. We arrived from Pennsylvania on Sunday night. Spent Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday on the water cruising and discovering the area. Weather started to turn Wednesday night and got very windy, cloudy and finally some rain. It could have been much worse. Warm temperatures and warm friendships made the weekend perfect. Of course a fantastic marina made life good!
Got a ride on a new Venture and gave out plenty of ideas to new C-Dory owners. This was our third year to NC and looking forward to more. It is a fabulous area.
I think everyone had a great time. We C-Dory owners like to get together and talk about our boats and what we have done with them.
Thanks to Tracy & Larry, Gene and Carrie for a great weekend.
Thanks to everyone who made the trip.
Put some pictures in the album. New camera, so focus not so good but you get the picture! LOL

Gene and Carrie were kind enough to inform Rosemary and I about your September gathering since RM had been talking about buying either a Ranger Tug or a C-Dory.
We popped in for your Friday night Potluck and Sunday Breakfast (had prior commitment for a Wounded Warrior motorcycle rally in Jacksonville, NC in Saturday). All of you treated RM like it was ol' home week and answered all her questions and let her check out several different boats.
RM has signed the paperwork for the blue 22 foot Cruiser Gene and Carrie have on their lot. She hasn't selected a name yet (and it will not be Rosemary's Baby) but she is already chomping at the bit to get it in the water. In the interim she's taking the USCG AUX 12-week boating course to refresh her seamanship knowledge (she is an ol' sailboat owner).
Me, I'm just the deckhand who already has a list of "creature comforts" to manufacture compliments of this website. Hey, there's no need to reinvent the wheel and I appreciate the ideas shared by the C-Brat owners.
I'm sure RM will join this website after she names her boat and at that time the pictures of the mods will be posted.
Again, thanks for the hospitality and great companionship!

Congratulations on the new boat ! Please pass it along to Rosemary. I know she will enjoy her boat as we have enjoyed ours. Perhaps we will see you all on the water down around Oriental. Take care, Tracy |
