I hope to leave from Everett Friday morning @10:30. Is there anyone in the Seattle, Edmonds, Everett vicinity passing the Edmonds area late Friday morning that I might hook up with?
Thanks,
Anne Cox

Anne sorry we won't get to see you again this year. We will look forward to crossing wakes with you sometime, maybe Friday Harbor '10.

Come in light, and leave loaded. Eat, drink, and use down to the minimums making extra room and space to the waterline. Smile

Looking forward to seeing you all sooooon Exclamation

Garage sales are fine, but you gotta watch the boat sales in Port Angeles.

THIS IS A DISCLAIMER TO HARVEY'S POST, IN WHICH HE SAYS;

"Come in light, and leave loaded. Eat, drink,....."

The C-Brat organization does not advocate binge drinking or will not be held legally responsible for any outcomes from our merriment together (!)

Shame on you, Harvey, and especially being a medical professional and all! Laughing

Have fun, folks, wish I could be there!!!

Joe. Teeth Thumbs Up

For those interested, I put some photos in SleepyC album showing the State Park dock at low (-2.5) tide. There are some notations showing shallow points and good safe approaches, (all easy to do), on some of the photos. The stakes referred to are fiberglass or aluminum, about 4 ft high, and only show at about a 0 tide level. As long as you are within the 30 feet of the dock, you should be fine. Also, for those coming in late, there are 6 SP mooring floats about 100 feet off the dock to the east, and on a line parallel to the dock.

Link to the photos:
http://www.c-brats.com/modules.php?set_albumName=Sequim-Bay-State-Park&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_album.php

Low tides for the weekend are in the -0.5 range about 0330 - 0530. the highs are around noon to 1430 and are in the 7 ft range.

Approach to Sequim Bay: There are 2 buoys, #2 is the outer mark, a red lighted, and the second is not lighted, and about a half mile along Travis Spit, just prior to the entrance to the bay. There is a non drying shoal between those two buoys. Best not to take shortcuts.

Around the bend, into the bay, there are 2 green can buoys, once they line up you can parallel that line into the bay, and watch for the third green can, which will have an opposing red to starboard, as the channel entry/exit.

Just past the channel exit, to stbd, is the entrance to John Wayne Marina, marked by a flashing red beacon to stbd, several pilings, and a rock breakwater to port. The active Navy ship "Olympic Venture" is often docked just inside the breakwater. Now there is a bit of entertainment if you get a chance, watch it back into the dock from out in the bay.

As is common in the PNW waters, there are always crab trap floats, especially in the bay. Keep a sharp lookout, as I am sure you always do.

Hope some of this is helpful.

Thanks Joe, Love I know some will not believe this, but what I was actually thinking of was not alcohol, but of water, and juice in the cooler Embarassed (When we leave on the weekend with the water tank full, it makes a difference in the boat trim from coming back with that tank empty.) Especially in view of the recent PR campaign by the state and local LE re: "drive loaded, or hammered and get nailed."

Sorry, and thanks for always driving sober. Thumbs Up

It is becoming very apparent, if you watch the weather prognostications, that this weekend is going to be nice in Western WA, especially Sequim! We'll be looking for highs close to 70 here and 80s nearer to Seattle.

Marine weather for Friday arrivals looks good with 1' seas forecasted. Sunday's not looking too bad for departures, 2' to 3' at Admiralty Inlet. Of course, there are worse places to be weathered in! We'll keep monitoring this.

It looks like we won't be able to come until Saturday morning.
It's a dog sitter thing. The wife won't leave our 15 year young lab in his kennel for two whole nights. So I hired a dog sitter and he isn't available until early Saturday morning.
She would have left me in the kennel for more than two nights, at least now I know where I stand around here.

We were so-o-o looking forward to our trip to Sequim...have had some great experiences involving this CBGT...however, we won't be able to attend this year. Looks like the weather is going to be good...we'll miss being with you.

Hopefully, we'll see some of you somewhere along the way before the end of January when the SBS/CBC takes place.

Have a great time guys. Would love to drop in and see y'all but we are comitted to the second great PNW Rosborough Rendezvous where all of 2 boats are going to Bremerton this weekend. Of course we noticed the place will be infested by some 30 Nut Tuggers but they are all nice people at heart and "cusins is family".

Stay safe and keep away from Red markers.

Merv
