The first week in Sept we are heading up to Lake Powell from Texas to spend a few weeks roaming the Lake. I have the Stan Jones map.

We are planning on launching near the Dam and heading up the lake.

Where is the best place to launch that we can leave the truck and trailer for a few weeks?
Is there a full size grocery store in Page?

Any other tips for Powell newbees are appreciated.

Tex and Sharon

Yes there are grocery stores in Page. You can park at the Stateline or the Wahweap boat ramps. The Antelope ramp has had some break in problems this year.

Page will have almost anything you need--SuperWalMart, Grocery, mechanics, etc.

Get the "year pass". We have never had a problem parking for several weeks, either the RV or truck at Stateline or Wahweep. I think that the Stateline parking is a little easier. Get gas before you go on the lake--it is expensive at the "marinas"

Limited groceries at Dangling Rope, but fuel, ice, garbage and water are available.

Have fun!
