George & Brenda,

Thanks so much for putting together the first Nanaimo CBGT. Can't believe how warm it was...loved visiting your city and hope to do it again...and soon, too! We had a wonderful time & I just loved that cake you ordered Love Email

For our trip home GOYO joined us when we left Nanaimo Sunday morning about 6:05 am. We went through Dodd Narrows at approx. 4000 rpm, then down to Porlier Pass and over to Point Roberts where we checked in with customs. We were out of there by 9:30 and arrived at the Bellingham/Squalicum dock 11:30. Boats loaded on trailers and then hugs & goodbyes.

A wonderful weekend spent with so many folks that we just love being with and sharing these adventures.

Take care,
Ruth & Joe

What a great CBGT! It was our first time to boat into Canada and the Nanaimo CBGT was a great introduction. My family had a blast with the "fishing" off of the pier, Newcastle Island trip, walking around town and of course the C-Brats hospitality.

George and Brenda, my sincerest thanks for hosting this event.

Three Cheers to George and Brenda for putting together a fantastic gathering. Huu Raw, Huu Raw, Huu Raw.
Everything came together so well, thanks to the detailed, thoughtful planning of our hosts.

What a cheerful pleasant bunch of people. We had a lot of fun meeting a few more of the C-Brats. It was very interesting listening to the many stories people shared with us. Also a delight to be welcomed aboard their boats and view the many creative creature comforts people had built into them.
We are now in the confirmed reality that we purchased more than a boat, when we purchased a C-Dory.
Have a wonderful summer everyone.
Look forward to seeing you again on the water.

Cheers Smile

Ross and Christy

Thanks so much for all the kind words and thoughts. We had a fantastic time meeting everyone and will see you all down the road. George and Brenda

We'll do another one somewhere on the Island next year, maybe Mark Bay maybe Ladysmith?

Will keep you posted, George

George
Your the man! You did a great job planning this event. Everything went smoothly, except the heat. See if you can order up cooler weather next time. Ann & I enjoyed exploring downtown Nanaimo.
Ann & I had the pleasure of sitting with Goerge at dinner Friday night. If you haven't heard about his sailing adventures, be sure to ask. It is truly amazing.
Sunday we pointed Rock-C south and took our time getting home. One of the highlight of our trip south was a stop at Hope Bay. Nice modern shopping and restaurant. Be sure to talk to the jewler on the second floor. I didn't catch his name, but I spent an hour talking about boating in the local waters. He is an authority on the shipwreck (The Robertson) on the reef near Winter cove.
We made it home safely on Thursday night. After a few days rest, we will be looking forward to next year.
