Hi I'm a pretty handy guy and wanted to see if i could do the 20 hour service on my Honda 50 engines. Is there a list of what needs to get done at 20 hours somewhere? I looked on the Honda site and couldn't find it. Same question for 100 hours and any other service intervals. Also wondering what else might need servicing, (Teleflex system?). Thanks, Mark on Squidward...

The service manual is about 40 bucks and has everything in it you need.
20 hour service (first service after run in), as listed in your owner's manual, calls for valve clearance setting, etc. It's more than just an oil change.

I'll check with Les when he gets back from Shasta -- think the 20-hour by a dealer is mandatory for warranty purposes.

You guys are the greatest. I think I'll let the dealer do this service. I'm trying to get up the learning curve, I've done valve adjustments on engines before, but I sure don't want to jeopardize my warranty... |
