Please help.

If would suggest that you first convert it to about 640 x 480 pixels and then export it as a GIF or JPEG file. This will likely cut the size down to 100-200kb. Then you can post it to your album.
From the post, I'm guessing that you may not know HOW to do what I just described. There are a number of software tools to do this kind of thing and to describe how to do it without knowing what software you have don't have could take awhile so I'll try a general suggestion. Most likely, the software you use to transfer from your camera to the computer OR the software you use to view your photos on the computer will have the capability to edit the photo to a smaller size. Some software even has an "export for the web" option. This will typically resize the image and convert it to JPEG or GIF.
If you can figure out how, PM me. I'll give you my email address and will do it for you.

Yes - my mistake for reading without thinking... If the issue is simply uploading the file... I know that's been covered in a post within the last month or two... I look around for it..

Ok - now I'm probably telling you something you already know - while we can upload files, the file extension types are limited (doesn't include .mpg) and the limit is 1MB.
So an alternative suggestion is to load it to a free external web site (if you have a Yahoo or AOL account - you get free space for web sites and some simple tools to create them). Then you could just post a link to the video here. |

Well sir, if you go to the Documents board (this guy) and start a new topic, you should be able to attach your video file to it. A little blurb in the message about the thing would be good.
Go for it. Cool is cool.
Mind you - I ain't the geek, so if it doesn't work, blame Bill.

TyBoo - when you do that, it say that only certain extensions
(ai doc dot pdf ppt ps xls ) are allowed and the max file size is 1MB.

Sheesh - you're quick! That post was only there for a few seconds. I had forgotten the limits we imposed on file type/sizes. I believe we're each allowed 50 mb for file attachments on here, but Bill and I decided to limit the file types when he enabled the feature so as not to get or encourage too much fun.
I'll go back to my corner now......... _________________ TyBoo Mike
