The bilges of the TomCat are seldom seen and hard to access. You can catch a peek here and there from different hatches. Working down there is something for trolls with four foot arms.

An intermittent bilge pump and completely inop fish box macerators, led me to the latest violation of perfectly good fiberglass.

A sawsall was needed in the tight confines of the fish box.

A Beckson deck plate finishes the hole. I can finally see and possibly service my bilge pumps.

I can service mine just fine. But I have to use a $30/Hr. Rent-A-Monkey with 4' Arms who is trained to use tools... Shocked

Good mod, I will do the same to get to my clogged macerator pump! You could always leave that cover out to drain those pesky fish boxes... Thumbs Up

Charlie

Roger, You 'dah maaaan!!!

Like you, I have been trying to figure out intermittent action on my Starboard bilge pump, but there are several layers of battery shelves, controllers, and a baitwell blocking the access.

That looks like a great solution!!!!

Thanks for posting it!

John
