I know that "we" have discussed this before.....and some have even managed to make contact.....but I thought I'd begin a new thread to get some 2009 discussion, possibilities, proposals, and plans in the works!!!

Hi Bruce,

Glad to hear that you are still residing down state. I missed hearing from you last year and figured you moved up North. As I am looking down the ice and snow covered Huron River and sitting behind my computer in a warm spot, the thought of a rendezvous with fellow Brats next summer sounds great. However, after last summer when most every planned boating trip was canceled because of a myriad of reasons I am a little gun shy of making plans. I did not even make it to Lake St. Clair. Hopefully, this season will be different. From the interaction on this forum, it appears that there are several new owners in our part of the country that may also be interested. I think it would be fun.

Good to hear from you.

Best regards,
Rollie/C-Batical

We're up for it. Probably can't spare enough time for a cruise but, a gathering would be great.

If the dates come up early Marcia and I can work our schedule around them. Also, we will be trailering Valkyrie this year rather than docking her at a marina so our options are more open than in the past.

I started a similar thread a year ago and garnered a few pages of responses, but nothing came to fruition. Let's hope this year an be different. I remember Bill and El commenting that some of the best CBGT's that they attended had only half a dozen or so boats, so large numbers are not a necessity.

Just getting together, comparing boats and ideas and getting acquainted with a few people can be great, which was the case when I finally met Mark and Rollie, two long-time CB friends whom I had never in person before!

Regards,

Nick

I am beginning to plan a Sept, 09 cruise for either Lake Michigan or Upper Mississippi River. The boat business pretty much takes me out of the "normal season" however, it is still very nice in mid Sept. I would be delighted to meet some of you in person if circumstances work out.

As always, all of you folks have an open invite to the St. Louis area to visit or get needed service.

Randy,

Sounds good to us. The UMR would be great. We have traveled from St. Louis to ST. Paul on our pontoon, prior to getting our C-Dory. There are many great spots and September would be a good time of year.
It would be great to visit with some Midwest C-Brats, as we are new members and have not been to a gathering yet.

A cruise upper Miss. or down is great fun as well as a side trip up the St Croix River into the Stillwater area. Lot's to see on both trips but I have wanted to do a Lake Michigan crossing from Manitwoc to Ludington for a while then cruise the Michigan coast etc. so any one interested? Just waiting for soft water up here in WI.
