OK, question for the nerds, maybe somebody brought this up before, can't recall...
The message width on page 7 of the Desolation Sound thread, but not other pages and no other threads, is considerably wider than my browser window, necessitating use of the horizontal scroll bar. Is this me, the pHp software, the sender or what? Can I tweak some setting to make it wrap the same way the others do? _________________

As you pointed out, it's only affecting page 7 of the messages. The first message on page 7 has a link that didn't wrap and that affects the whole page. One of the Resident Nerds can edit the link so all will be well. _________________ Mary & Don Anderson

Maybe SC will bring you a wide screen for Christmas. But just in case your SC is as broke as ours, I fixed it. _________________ TyBoo Mike

Pat,
It was my link. Sorry.
Mike,
Could you post the instructions for converting a link to a line of type? If you already told us, I have forgotten. _________________ Larry H

It's a real pain in the butt until you figure it out, and then it's a snap.
The way I do 'em is to type the string of text I want to use for a link, highlight it, and then hit the URL button. That gives you this:
Code: | String of text |
Then put you cursor between the "l" and the "]" in the first tag, type an "=" and then paste the link you want right after the "=". No extra spaces anywhere.
That gives you this:
Code: | String of text |
Everybody else will get this:
String of text
Whatever you do, don't give up. I don't mind fixing things when I see the obvious, and I only make a big deal of it when it is Catman who screwed up.
Have fun. |
