Your welcome son...
Hey I am mindful of your questions you asked me earlier Ray... I just need to get a lot of stuff done right now, then I'll get back to ya on them. I'll "sound-off" here when I get the other half of the story completed...
I tried (again) to post it all-in-one, but it will not take much over 2-thousand words (per page) that story was about 3200-some words. They sure are rewarding to do! tends to make me a lot of "e-pals"
"life is good"--- sometimes!!

Life is always good as long as you still fog the mirror. Just ask Mom!! And give her a big hug for me.
Best, and great, great writing. Makes me want to go back to AK.

Dusty, much thanx for that bit of wisdom... I know what your saying! and that one will be easy to re-call when I need it most Hugs in return friend!
I think were in for more rain here; I can't do roof maintenance when it's doin' that!!---so I might get that other half of the story done today! Gosh I'd like to get a chance at some "board activates" here.... some day... |

Afraid not mate, gotta get me a camera for the boat.
This was a "Guy's night out" and the wife said the camera had to stay home... Not a bad idea in my opinion...
We sure had a great batch of Dutch Oven Stew... Elk, potatos, carrots, onion, beer... more beer.... Some Irish Hootch, more beer....
It was nice sitting around the fire and just relaxing for a change. I sure enjoyed my Force 10 Cozy Cabin heater that night. Snug as a bug in a rug. I think I need one of those vents though but I am nervous about having it leak when waves break over the bow... |

My god! thats some fine living there Rayster! It's also neat to see someone is still getting out and about, but especially in our choice of craft
You know, if you go too small a camera like I did... chances are very high it won't live long (there just so tiny and light, you forget which pocket it's in, and it falls everywhere and gets sat on all the time Had to send mine in for that reason... it still worked, but the screen got crunched and I could not see any of the camera functions. Got it back now, Pentax is extreemly slow in there service; took about 2 months to get it back from them. Hundred-fifity-bucks fixed-er up good-as-new! If you get it at "kits cameras" DO GET THE INSURANCE they offer. It is good for three years, and will cover anything and everything (accidents)
Then tiny little digitals take pro-quality pix, and are getting better and better all the time. I figured I did not need anything beyond "4-megs" and I don't for just a "point and shoot" I have printed out some really nice "tack-sharp" 8x11s I have framed!
My cabin vent, has never been a problem with waves breaking over the bow and hitting the cabin top where it is located. Only a few drops of sea-water get through! I can live with that. It's less than gets tracked in the door by your shoes.
Glad your happy with the "Force-10" I still am to! I can't believe the way they have come so far down in price over the years |

RedFox/Greg: Great stuff on your site man. I have just spent about 2 hours reading and blowing up pics. You going to make it down to the Seattle Boat Show? Coming over from "the east side" to make that. I like your rods man, made with heart. Byrdman on FreeByrd, Montgomery, AL |

Hi Gregg,
Very nice pics! Makes me feel relaxed and serene!
On the subject of water over the bow, I am gettting ready to install a windlass. I have had some concern about water over the bow coming in the hole for the anchor line. Is that a problem?
I have thought about carring some kind of foam that could be pushed into the hole to seal it somewhat if needed.
Steve
