Hmmm...L.A. traffic from Hell, unhelpful Dock Masters, anchors that won't set, fending off other boats with a set anchor that won't budge when you try to pull it, mishaps getting in and out of the dinghy, sleepless nights, and glasses overboard? Sounds like fun! Also sounds a lot like the Pat & Patty show! Only we become "the Bickersons"! Good read, Judy! _________________

Thanks, Pat. It takes a cruiser to understand what goes on. And dancing with semis is always fun. They're all from Georgia, and don't let you in.

Great write-up of your Channel Islands trip!
Did you tow your dink between the Islands? If you did it sounds like it was not a problem even with some chop.

Steve, we tow the dink for relatively short distances, after we take the motor off and put it on the C-dory. For the trip back from San Miguel, we pulled it out and deflated it. With the motor hoist, and the electric inflater, it's a pain but not too bad.
We use a V bridle for the dink.

OK, here is a tale of the trip up the Petaluma and Napa Rivers. Never heard of them? Read the story. Journey On perseveres and Judy writes. Now in san francisco marina and the high temp is 66.

Here are the last two installments of Journey On's 2008 travels: Journey On's Travels
We're in Redondo Beach, getting ready for a week at the Isthmus in Catalina, to rest up before we go home. We worked our way down via Monterey Bay, courtesy of Bob and Barbara Evans. Walked through Monterey for 2 days and then drove to Dorth's in RB. 300 mi. in 7 hrs and then the last 10 miles in 2 hrs. Does that explain why we need a rest?
