I've been shrimping in PWS for 8 years and in the last 3 years I have noticed a decrease in shrimp numbers and a noticeable reduction in average size. In almost all the places I set I am the only person to set there as far as I know, so I don't think localized overfishing is the problem. I still do pretty well but things are changing out there. Has anyone else noticed this?

I do better in may & june than aug & sept? Like you the farther away I am from everyone else the better I do. I did real good in june in kings bay, also donated a string of 2 pots (to the fish/shrimp Gods) here also. Should have had 1200' of line not 600!!! Laughing Mr. Green Beer

My goodness! You're shrimping in over 600' of water? Shocked

That's a lot of hauling! I don't think there's a spot in the whole Chesapeake Bay over 120ft !! Laughing
