I was attempting to get a scale model of C-Worthy built. No luck, though. It sounds like maybe in the new year, after the factory move. Read below if interested. Notice how I never got a price from them??? Hmm. Maybe if enough folks show an interest ...

Here's their website: http://www.captainsmodels.com/

Hello Blain,

I just got off the phone with Jeff at C-Dory Marine.
At this time, they are up to the eyebrows in alligators, making some changes
of some sort, and can not take time to put any drawings together.

Jeff suggested we get back to him next year...sometime...and he might be
able to produce something "workable".
I would not hold my breath on that one.
We have to remember that models, unless requested by the builders,... are a
very low priority.

Well Blain, we tried. Win a few...loose a few.

With best regards,
Bob Kyle

If you really want to pursue this - I would suggest checking some of the modelling companies that make carved models of aircraft. There are several in the Phillipines. Check the ads in the back of aviation magazines.

Several years ago I had a model constructed (as a retirement gift for a friend) of a very special airplane. The company needed nothing but pictures of the airplane, and made a really fantastic replica. It was museum grade. It was also very close to $200 (in 1986!).

...an expensive option, but an Idea.

I know there are several other boat modellers out there as well. This was the only guy I checked with.

Thanks again. I'll keep looking.

Hi Folks,
I have thought that I would take the lines off the C-Dory and make a Model. What I am going to do is take the side view and top view of the 22 angler, modify it to fit my boat, and enlarge it, reduce the darkness of the lines, and color it, and frame it. I will then have a picture of INN-THE-WATER on my wall.

Just an idea.

Hi, Blain,

I've been wanting a model of my boat for years, but haven't been willing to spend the $1,600 or so that most modelers seem to want for a 15" model.

I recently came across someone who might do it for a little less. I know he's done some 12" models for around $450.
