Hello,
Can someone please tell me the general dimensions of a CD 22' while sitting on its trailer? I looked through the forums and couldn't find anything on the 22' just the 16'ers.
I am planning on purchasing an 80's-early 90's 22' angler and I am trying to do some proactive planning here at our house to make it fit.
Much thanks,
Rob |

The width of my trailer is 8 ft. The Jenny B doesn't hang outside the trailer fenders. The length of the boat and trailer with the engine up is very close to 26 ft. with the tongue locked for travel.
I can't tell you the height because it varies between boats. I have a "tall top" C-22 and I have a radar radome on a short pedestal. Tall top adds 3" and anything you put on the top adds to the vertical measurement. A bunk trailer differs from a roller trailer in height as well.
I have a couple of shots of my boat on the trailer in my album and I suppose you could guesstimate from there if nobody jumps in with more accurate measurements. Others have loaded shots next to their vehicles and that too will help with a good guesstimate.

Here's a discussion we had recently on this.
Length and width vary depending on the trailer. You can lose some length by getting an extended tongue (great for launching), but having it be a folder.
Height varies depending on trailer - single/twin axle, bunks/rollers, even between manufacturers of the same type. I've not found a lower or narrower combination than a tandem Pacific bunk trailer. And of course, arch/RADAR makes a difference as well.
Unless you know exactly what you are getting, I'd plan on a minimum of 36' x 12' x 12' to cover any bases and allow for adequate maneuvering while parking and walking around the boat. If you are certain you won't have an arch, you could knock 2-3 feet off the height, depending on trailer.
And as they say...nobody ever built a garage too big. _________________

Excellent info, I appreciate the help. I wish I had an easier time with the search function so these topics could be found faster. Thanks again.

The built-in search sucks pretty much. Try using Google advanced search and specifying "www.c-brats.com" as the site. Works great for anything other than searches for posts by a particular person.

Hey Rob, here's what you need!
The door on the "tall" garage is 10' wide x 12' high. My old CD22, with a single axle trailer fit just fine with some room left over. Not sure if the new TC255 will go in there, haven't had the need to try (yet).
