Joel, sign me up for a pair, if you please. I'm SICK of having everything soaking wet in there. Plus it'll fit one of the commercially available propane tanks, unlike the stock hatches. _________________ Timothy R. R. Flanagan |

Here is my dilemma:
From the dimensions that Warren posted the new covers are ½” wider, so as you can see my pot puller docking station is butted right up against the factory cover. So splitting the difference I would have to cut away ¼” of the new cover to accommodate the Scotty docking station. I can’t really move the docking station, its right on the edge of the lazarette mounted to ½” aluminum plate screwed and secured with JB weld.
The docking station is just a place to secure the pot puller out the way when not in use.
If there is enough play in mounting the new covers I could take ¼” from the outside but would still have to notch out a section of the cover to accommodate the mounting pin....or possible find a flat head pin just for mounting the puller to the docking station that doesn’t stick out and just use a snap pin on the other side.
Any thoughts out there? I would really like to replace these leaky covers; sure there must be a work around. I haven’t seen a picture of an open hatch so not sure how much material I can cut off and still maintain a seal.

My SWAG is that you could enlarge the lazarette hole in your boat slightly and to mount the new covers that much off center.

I didn't think there was a current group buy going on when I got new hatches for my 22 this past summer. I don't know if there is one now, either, so just in case this is helpful:
I bought two of the hatches (IMTRA in Dream White, #40154) from Defender (www.defender.com). I called Defender because they are a special order, and Defender had them drop-shipped straight to me. I think I had them within two weeks (including ground shipping from coast to coast). Although it was a special order, it was easy -- I just mentioned the name and part number and "sure, no problem."

We love our 07 22 crusier. As noted the rear hatch covers leave a lot to be desired. If anyone is putting in a group order, we would be interested in two of the newer larger covers. _________________ PvL |

You know, I wanted to put that info in, but I couldn't remember for sure, and it was raining and I was feeling too lazy to go out to the boat and dig up the receipt. However, if I'd "guessed," I was going to say around $130-$140 shipped, which fits with what you found. |

And the beat goes on...10 pages...wow. Does anyone know if these lazzettes fit the 26' venture model? Doug _________________ 26' Venture "SheSayNo"

I don't know for sure, but if you could post a photo of the lazarette area of your boat (looked in your album but none of the photos happened to show it), along with the dimensions of the existing hatch, for scale, I might be able to tell based on what I know of the IMTRA hatches (I put a pair on my 22).
One thing to know is that the lid is slightly asymmetrical/larger in size on the hinge side as compared to the hatch frame. In other words, if you were to center the frame on an available space, then when you closed the lid the hinge side would project more into the "white space" around the perimeter of the hatch. So if you want it to be "centered" when closed you actually have to set it slightly to one side when installing it. It's not a large amount; maybe 1/2"+, but the way the hatch sits on the raised area of the 22 it's a fairly close fit in the after corners.

Hi dmengland:
They fit our 2007 Cape Cruiser Marinaut upon which your Venture is based, We replaced them last year and it sure is nice to have dry lockers!
Most welcome modification.
