We are planning to attend the SeaFair air show on the Lori Ann. Our schedule is to drive the boat from Anacortes to Kingston on Thursday 7/31. Bright and early the morning of Friday 8/1 we will go through the locks. This will be our first time, so any advice and/or kibitzers welcome. Spend the day Friday boating around the lake, which we have virtually no experience with other than taking the locks cruise.
I'm not sure where we will be, but I did find this SeaFair rules for boaters document which tells us where we can NOT be.
Planning to head home Sunday, as it appears the Sunday air show is a repeat of the Saturday performance and my daughter is coming in from Utah on Monday.
Anyone else planning to be out there?

I will have the susan e on the lake for the air show saturday. i love the air show and we go swimming after. I will get a hold of you for a raft up. I have spent a lot of time on the lake fishing and swimming but have only anchored up once in the south end. I dropped anchor at 11pm and started fishing at 4am so view and shelter were not considerations. _________________ Thomas J Elliott

We anchored out during the air show twice. Both times we anchored just off the west side of Mercer island, just south of the I-90 bridge. While there were a lot of boats, I don't recall any problems at all- very friendly crowd. The only advice I have is don't bring your dog, the jet noise will be too much for them. Here's a picture of the big lock on Sunday after the 2007 Seafair
