We putted around Lake Merwin (Woodland, WA) today and came home with a limit of kokanee. It literally took the entire day, but we made it. In general, a nice grade of fish. They averaged 12-14 inches.
Saw a CDory on the lake, but did not get a chance to go visit. We were in a beer can.

I fished merwin a couple years ago. Pretty place but we couldn't find the fish. No one else did either. I think it was too cold if I remember correctly. Thanks for the report. _________________ -----------------

Few years ago, I spent several hours there watching a cubic mile of Mt St Helens blow away. Still have a picture of that hanging on my wall. Many good memories of camping and canoeing there. Enjoy the scenery.

yup, It's true. Ten kokanee died today.
The fishing wasn't what I would call red hot, but it was pretty steady in the morning, and we had our limit of fish by 11:30. Not bad considering we didn't start fishing until about 8:30. There were eight fish in the 14-16 inch range, and two dinks that went about 11. Very nice grade of fish.

It was just awful! Ten more kokanee died. I am sure it must be something in the water, maybe like flashers, an Apex and Pautzke's Fire Corn.
Biggest fish was pushing 16 inches. I think I'll fire up the smoker.
