Hi, I'm looking for a partner for Bay Area tuna runs. Anyone based in the Bay Area who wants to to run together please let me know, safer to go out in two's (or threes). Thanks from Mark on Squidward (22 Cruiser)

Mark, I'd love to go - don't know the first thing about tuna fishing, but am willing to learn. My brother would be interested in joining me - he's gone on several charters out of San Diego, so he knows a little bit...

I've been been following things on coastsidefishingclub.com - sounds like they are getting a few, but they haven't moved in real close yet - still 30+ miles out. I'm not up for a long run out to sea, but would sure like to try it if the warm water brings them in close again, and the weather looks OK. With the El Nino predictions I've been reading about, sounds like that may happen.

Won't be back in the Bay Area with boat for a couple weeks, but I'll follow up with you then.

Bill, do not, repeat DO NOT DO IT!
you will be ruined forever and 55 miles will not ever seem too far to go for fish again.

My son loves Tuna trips and looks forward to the next one with great anticipation... He is only 11.

There is a lot of information at www.ifish.net under the Salty dogs board. Look at the top for Pilars topics that have been made permanent. It is a go to for info to get you started.
I would be happy to help as well.

Good luck and have a great time. We sure did up North this year and will again as soon as the oppor TUNA ty presents itself..

Hi Mark,
Thanks for letting me take some measurements on your boat the other day.
Do you have the number of my co-worker Robert. He has been going out with a comercial charter for tuna but would like to go buddy-boat or hookup with someone. He does not want to go alone in his boat.
If you don't have the number you can call me at work and I can give it to you.

Thanks,
Steve
