Thanks to the help of you folks, I am a little more at ease about the hul/ trailer bedding.
Chapt. 2.After mounting our Honda 7.5 I was showing my son where the emergency start rope was located in the Johnson engine cowling. Rope was where it eas supposed to be. Always messing around with things [thats me!] I tried to royate the flywheel of the Johnson..no go..Frozen..NOT good!. Pulled powerhead off, Botton piston frozen HARD. Head gasket failed, allowing water into the cyl, and int case.freezing and destroying lower rod journal..now we are talking serious $s crank, all bearings, seals, a piston, rod, 3 ring sets. it is an '83 3 cyl, 70 hp any guess as to cost? Excluding labor? Would LOVE a 70-90 hp Honda, but that is another story..Happy sailing! |
