Wow. There's a bunch of new folks in the Pub! Welcome aboard! Just jump right in and make yourselves at home.
If you want a photo album named for your C-Dory, all you need to do is ask out loud, and Bill or I will create one for you and link it from the info that appears to the left of all your message posts. You can put any photos you think the rest of us might find interesting in it. We welcome the whole person here, not just the boat part.
Thank you for looking us up and signing on. We do not take ourselves too seriously, as evidenced by some of the topics and posts. That's why the Pub section of the forum gets the most use. The Library section is where we tackle the serious matters, and everyone is very good at keeping the message posts organized and in the most useful place. (We were going to make up some rules once, but found we didn't really need any.)
Please feel free to ask any questions you may have, and offer any advice the rest of us can use. If you don't find a suitable topic for your comment, you can start a new discussion in most any of the various forums. About the only time the moderators will edit or move any posts is when the information is of such value that it should be preserved in one of the technical forums. Never have we found a subject on here that was of no value, so as far as I know, nothing has ever been zapped or edited away.
Do not be intimidated by the fact that you are now a part of the largest organized group of C-Dory owners in the world. We are not pretentious, nor are we a yacht club. Oh, we're good - let's face it! But if (when) we talk you into attending one of our cruises/gatherings, you'll find that we really aren't all that organized. And when you watch us bouncing around the docks and read some of the questions we ask, you'll realize that we are far from experts.
So sign on, join in, and have fun.

I could use a photo album for "C-WEED". Is it possible to change my user name from F150 to my boats name for simplicity?
Thanks,

Chris,
You I think they can help. As for the rest of the posters to this thread, my guess is they're on their own.

Thanks,

As you can see, Chris, you are now officially C-WEED. It was real hard not to change the F150 to Ram3500, but we got 'er. Album, too. Thanks for asking for one.
The next time you will have to use your new nickname. But don't worry - we know who you are! _________________ TyBoo Mike

Good lord, I gotta be the densest newbie C-brat here. I've seen that photo about 15 times and didn't get the obvious joke until I really looked at the sign.
No tress passing? The hirsute are barred from the other side? Yet another bald joke. Excellent and very subtle. _________________ Mary & Don Anderson

Hey B~C, do you think that there is any significance to the fact that one of those guys has one leg lifted? _________________ Dave S.

Jeez - I TOOK the dang picture and didn't get the joke! Yes, it OBVIOUSLY is the best bald joke going! Actually, I thought it was about Tyboo's (left) and DaNag's (right, obviously) deep respect for rules...

Initially I thought that was your intent as well, Pat, but the misspelled sign bothered me until it finally hit. Not meeting you folks personally (yet) puts me at a disadvantage. Is Tyboo also cranially hirsute disadvantaged? He does remind me of the members in a very active seniors group located in Santa Cruz, CA. They call themselves the "Grey Bears." (I too qualify as a Grey Bear.) |

Yes, under that cap is, well, a cranially hirsute disadvantaged scalp...
