There is a thread about this on THT but I wanted to ask about it here. I have noticed an intermittent squeal in my port engine. It only happens when I have been running fast (planed off) then slow down to idle speed. I sometimes hear a squeal for about 60 seconds then it goes away. I have no engine warning indicators or anything obvious like that.

I will surely ask a dealer but I suspect if I brought it in they would not be able to duplicate the sound.

Suggestions? Anyone else experienced the same with the Suzuki 150's? Mine are 2008's.

Thanks

I think I'd check the torque on the prop nut.

I have messages out at 2 Suzuki dealerships up this way. I did another search on THT and found even more instances of this squeal.

The person answering the phone at the last shop I called said his 225 does the exact same thing. I will let you know what I find out. I welcome any suggestions if anyone has come across this.

Here is the thread from THT I am referring to:

I don't really care for THT but there are some crossover members and sometimes there is good info if you can get past the attitude.

I'd watch the water tattletale. Could be the impellor running a bit dry
