Blue Angels Visit Seattle

If you have not yet had the chance to be buzzed by a low flying Blue Angel, they are making apperances over Lake Washington Friday through Sunday. North side of I-90 is open pretty close to the floating bridge, best spot to wait seems to be near Leschi Park. South of I-90 bridge is closed down to a line from Andrews Bay across to Mercer Island, basically where the "Cable Area" is marked on most charts. While the Angels are out practicing, you can only go under the I-90 bridge at Barnabie Point. Unless you want to get chewed out by numerous officials, stay out of Andrews Bay. Jetskiers seemed to be the only ones that were getting in trouble today.

South of the I-90 bridge seems to be less crowded, but north of the I-90 seemed to get the most watchable action. As our kids will tell you, there is nothing quite like a F-18 going vertical directly above you! Lots of good boat watching as well!
