As a happy new owner of a 22' cruiser. I need to know whether a 15 # Manson Supreme will fit into the anchor roller sprit on the 22' cruiser without any modifications. A Fortress FX 7 flukes come awfully close to striking the hull. If not, any other good suggestions for a good anchor that WILL fit.

I don't have my boat yet, but just picked up a 14lb Delta Fast Set anchor. Will it fit without modification? |

The Delta should work fine. The Manson has a thicker shank, and may require removal of the bail at the end. _________________ Bob Austin

20dauntless,
Timely question. I just changed my anchor to the 14# Delta Fast Set. I had the standard anchor roller and it didn't quite fit under the bail. I found a replacement bail at West Marine. Very pricey at $42.99 but half the cost of the cheapest anchor roller. By the way, the bail is called a boom bail and is designed for the boom on sail boats. The size is 2 1/4" width by 3 3/4" length and made of high quality stainless steel. You can find it in the catalog but not online.
Sorry HiCap, I can't give an answer for the Manson Supreme.
