I know that some of you have the wrong type of inflatable dolly in mind, but lets keep it clean.
Do any of you have any experience with the Dingy Dolly or the Wheel A Weigh wheels that attach to the transom of the dingy/inflatable, to make launching easier? I am looking into buying one or the other and would like some user feedback.
And those of you with the other type of inflatable dolly .....
John

I used a set of wheel-aways on the back of an Avon, when we went cruising to Mexico and the So. Pacific. They work great on smooth sandy beaches, they don't work on coral, and in BC & Alaska, they were useless in rocks. We didn't use them once we left Mexico, and I sold them the other day.
Well built, easy to install, etc. etc. Best of the lot. Don't land with them down, though. By the way, that Avon was the best inflatable I ever had. Sorry to see them go.

i saw dolly on american idol several weeks ago. i think she could use a set of those wheel-aways, as well.
if you have any recommendations, let me know and i'll pass them on to her, the next time i see her.
thanks for your help regarding this very sensitive matter.

I bought a Garelick boat dolly from west marine and it works real well. I only use it to move my boston whaler squall around the yard but that is a heavy dingy, over 100 pounds, and it works great. I paid like $69 but I see they are up to $78 now. |

I'm very surprised not to hear from Tyboo in this thread. I understand he's had lots of experience with inflatable dollies this past year.
What say you, Mike? |
