NAVIONICS® FREE MOBILE VIEWER has been available for I-Phones for a month now.
I just learned that a version will be available for "Windows Mobile" devices sometime this (1st) quarter of '09. The Navionics Gold Charts are awesome. This is one more option (see Active Captain) for portable gps on your ppc or smartphone. If you already have one of these then you won't need to carry a separate gps.

| The full version is also out (The free viewer only has a marine chart of Miami and an outdoor map of Tuscany,Italy). Search the App Store for 'Navionics'. They are on sale for $50 for the rest of January, then they go up to $100. I am not sure what the difference between the premium and gold packages is, but there is only a gold package available for the west. I have been using iNavX but this looks much better. I am getting it and will post more once I've had a chance to use it. |
