I ordered a Wallas for my CD22 a couple months back and took my time finishing the last details and just got it running today. There's a yellow light glowing up through a little window in the cooktop. Seems to be on all the time, even when the stove's off. Seems the stove draws 150 mA all the time. I looked through the paperwork a couple times and can't find mention of this light. I also can't seem to find it mentioned here on the C-Brats site.

The stove seems to operate normally and the control panel lights do their thing, but I have no clue about this light shining up through the cooking surface. I guess I'll be wiring a switch inline with the power leads going to the fuse at the battery.

Also, the little microswitch in the heater lid is sticky on my brand new stove and I guess I'll have to send the lid back for exchange. It won't turn off by itself when I lift the lid. I have to tickle it with a finger to get it to click off. Doesn't look damaged at all. Just sticky internally, or mounted incorrectly....

I left the supplied tank hose full length and put the tank back by the gas tanks for now. If I have fuel feed issues I'll move it in under the sink counter, but it seems like it would be nicer to NEVER have to bring the stinky stuff inside the boat for refueling. It did take three start sequence tries to get it primed the first time.

That yellow lite goes out after its cool down mode 15-20 minutes after you turn it off. I had the same concerns with my new Wallas Wink Mr. Green Beer There are picts of my fuel tank install in my album.

Mine has the yellow light, but it does go off when it is safe to touch the stove top. I think it is just a warning to indicate a hot surface. Yours does go off right?

Yup, the light goes out after something like 45 minutes. I haven't checked the standby current drain with the light off. I still think I'll want a switch inline with the stove controller and battery, just to be sure.
