Deal on a Bruce anchor????

I have a Bruce (Lewmar) knock off but it resides in the support vehicle for that chance to go to PNW. Down here in So. Cal, a real Danforth or better yet a Fortress or Guardian is my favorite...works great in the Gulf too. The Bruce is my opionion is too heavy and doesn't work as well as the Fortress. I have a Guardian 11 as a kedge and a Fortress 16 as a Bower.
IMHO they are better than the Bruce in So. Cal conditions and I wouldn't use anything else in the Gulf. Buy the Bruce it's a good deal. Set it aside with 300 ft of rode for that trip to Fryday Harbor!

I would take it and try it out. The Bruce recomendations are too small for the boat size, IMHO. A 16.5 is good on a CD22, a Bruce 22 is just 5.5 lbs heavier. The only problem might be the tip hitting the stem of the boat when pulling the anchor back up onto the roller.
