I recently purchased the Electric Waterman Industries puller sold thru Blue Ocean Tackle. This unit is a lot more than a recreational shrimper will need but the higher line speed and overall quality sold me. These units will easily mount to the rear wall of the cabin on the port side between the wash down and the gunnel. This puts the motor inside, out of the elements. Externally, everything is very compact and nothing protrudes beyond the door stop. Coupled with the new roof mounted folding davit I'm building this winter to aid pot pulling as well as dingy retrieval ;we are looking forward to some great times with the Grand Kids next summer.

Mike,
Good luck with the new puller. I assume your heading to PWS. Thirty plus years ago I did some prospecting for big prawns. I was using a Cessna 180 on floats. My son Butch I would set pots in different places and pull them by hand the next day. I got some hugh ones, but not enough to make it commercially feasible. Never thought much about those times till I read your post. If you are going out of Whitter go outsde around Culross Is. into Port Nellie Juan, into Kings Bay. Set at the base of the 2720' hill on your right side in 250' to 300' water. Another spot 1/4 way into Kings Bay at the base of the hanging glaicer on your right, again same debths.
PWS is some of the best fishing ,claming, prawns and exploring in this world.
Have fun,
Gary
