Greetings fellow Dorian, TyBoo
Somewhere you were writing about earlier troubles getting your FF transducer located correctly. I, too, have a Garmin. I'm in the process of installing Bennett M120 trim tabs and will have to move my transducer to a new location. Two questions.
1. Ultimately about where did you mount your transducer, side to side?
2. I may switch my electronics later this year to a Raymarine suite (the Garmin ff I have is the older 185 monochrome). I don't know that I will stay with the same transducer that I now have. My goal is to minimize punching new holes this week and still more new holes in my transom later this year if I switch electronics. You once wrote of a transducer mounting block idea that provided for lateral and vertical adjustment. Could you describe this confabulation in more detail or provide a pic before the good fellows at Schooner Creek break out the rotohammer and sawzall to move the current transducer?
Best,
