Here's some tips on how to return bottom fish that have barotrauma.

That Git-r-down release looks like a good one.
I've used the barbless hook several times.
I used to puncture the bladder, but you need a clean hyperdermic needle every time. I used to get the needles from Florida State

Interesting - thanks a bunch for posting. The milk carton idea looks like something we could handle. The "needle" as not been successful for us.
