Window washer project????
For the cost of a disposable empty "Weed-Be-Gone" container, I have a 'poor-man's windowshield washer'. The pump spray head has a 3+' pickup tube that enters thru the top cap.
After thoroughly washing out the container with soap and water I filled it with plain water. When it was practicle to use this underway, I opened the center window and sprayed the affected salt covered window(s). I was surprised how well it worked AND the price was cheap. I could refill the container with a cleaning solution and water from my water tank, if I chose.
A wash down unit runs abt $100 from WM that sprays both windows at once. You may be able to find a unit from a auto junk yard, but you still have to plumb and wire it. How to plumb the lines to only wash either a single window, or both, would be fun to figure out. You could tie into the wiper control switch as it enables the port or strbd wiper. Of course you could have 2 separate wash down electric pump units that will only be activate after its respective wiper motor is active - electrically and plumbing - this is simpler, but not as cost affective as the above manual 'Be-Gone' washer kit.
Has anyone played with this before? _________________ Art ka1rx
